A new website for the ASAA,
the Association of Rescuers of Allied Airmen

In the Clermont region and around the Plateau Picard, Dominique Lecomte is known as "The Aircraft Man". Fanatical about aircraft and history since childhood, Dominique enjoys finding traces of aircrews shot down from the skies above the departement during the Second World War. Patient and determined, Dominique loves to find on the other side of the Atlantic the descendants of those who, 70 years ago, risked their lives in order to save ours. Dominique who, open and friendly, regularly welcomes to his home the families of these airmen to reunions charged with emotion and rich in memories. A member of the ASAA (The Association of Rescuers of Allied Airmen,) Dominique Lecomte is, since a very short time, the administrator of the new website of this Association. Along with his friend, Eric Fardel, the enthusiast has thrown himself into this new venture. "It really is a lot of work, but one day we had to make a start," said the inhabitant of the Oise, who has insisted that the site be entirely bilingual. Accessible throughout the entire world, the site is indeed made to be accessible in France, but also equally as much in The United Kingdom, The United States and Australia. "It is already going all over the world via people we know" continues the administrator, who is counting on this new tool to introduce the Association and encourage research by its members.
